This particular sculpture is and upright design mounted on a rock and secured to a piece of finished mohagany wood. The tree/root scuplture is made of approx. 1325 feet of aluminum wire (various gauges) and contains approx. 375 individual stands of aluminum, each measuring approx. 42 inches in length. The single bundle of wire is twisted to form the bonsai tree and roots. The tree and roots are then mounted on a single rock using a permanent gluing process and the mahogony wood base. This allows for the roots to cascade down the sides of the rock and onto the mahogany base. Additional smaller rocks are added for realism and a more natural design. This particular sculpture was entered into a gallery/show with the theme of fun and games. In keeping with the theme, a small, driftwood, heart swing was added utilizing black aluminum wire. The swing can be easily removed if desired. This sculpture measures approximately 20 inches high, 10 inches deep, and 8 inches wide. It weighs approximately 14 pounds.
