This wire and driftwood sculpture is a windswept desgin consisting of approximately 1400 feet of aluminum wire. There are approximately 400 individual strands of wire, each at approximately 42 inches. The individual stands are combined into a single bundle which is then hand twisted to form the tree, foliage, and roots. The dritwood base is treated and finished with a resin coating. The tree and roots are mounted utilizing a permanent gluing process. Additional pieces of treated driftwood are added to the base to create a more natural setting for the sculpture. This sculpture measures approximately 11 inches high, 26 inches wide and 7 inches deep. It weighs approximately 7 pounds.
