This wire sculpture is an upright design and is made out of approximately 1000 feet of brass colored, aluminum wire of various gauges. It is comprised of approx. 310 individual strands of wire, each approximately 39 inches long. The individual strands of wire are cut to the designated length and gathered into a single bundle. The bundle of wire is meticulously hand twisted which forms the roots, trunk, branches and foliage of the sculpture. The foliage of the tree is made by curling and then uncurling individual wires using various sized rods. Once the tree/foliage and roots are formed, the sculpture is then mounted/secured to thehand selected piece of treated driftwood. Smaller pieces of treated driftwood are added to create a more natural/interesting sculpture. The dimensions of the sculpture are 15 inches wide, 10 inches deep, 18 inches tall and weighs approximately 8 pounds.
