This sculpture is an up-right tree design with two tiers. It is created of approximately 400 individual strands of wire, each being 42 inches in lenght (approximately 1400 feet of wire). The strands of wire are gathered into a single bundle and the bundle is then meticulously hand twisted to form the roots, trunk, branches and foliage. The foliage is formed from individual wire on each branch which is curled and then un-curled. Once the roots, trunk, branches/foliage is formed the tree sculpture is then secured/mounted to a pre-selected, treated piece of driftwood. Additional, smaller pieces of driftwood are added to create a more natural/realistic and interesting sculpture. The sculpture is approximately 20 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 19 inches tall and weighs approximately 11.5 pounds.
