This sculpture is made of approximately 1300 feet of aluminum wire of various gauges (approx. 375 individual strands of wire, at approx. 42 inches each strand). Individual strands are bundled together to create the tree and rots. The bundle is twisted to form the windswept design of the tree and the roots. Once the tree and roots are created they are maticulously mounted/glued on the prepared piece of driftwood. This particular bonsai sculpture was then mounted on a separate piece of additional driftwood to form a raised profile. This sculpture is approx. 15 inches tall, 22 inches wide, 10 inches deep and weighs approx. 7 pounds.
