This particular sculpture is comprised of approx. 1400 feet of aluminum wire of various gauges (400 individual strands of wire, each strand is approx. 42 inches in length). The individual wires are gathered into a single bundle which forms the tree and roots. This single bundle is hand twisted into the desired form of the tree and roots. This particular sculpture is an upright design mounted on a stained and treated piece of driftwood. The driftwood base of the sculpture is enhanced with addtional pieces of smaller, treated driftwood to add interest and dimension to the scuplture. Once the tree and roots are created they are maticulously mounted on the driftwood base using a permanent glue. This sculpture is approximately 29 inches tall, 21 inches wide and 10 inches deep and weighs approximately 5 pounds.
